Fisher lands award

Ross Fisher has been named the European Tour’s Golfer of the Month for October following his victory in the Volvo World Match Play Championship.

Fisher won the award ahead of Sweden’s Michael Jonzon, who saved his Tour career by capturing the Castello Masters, and four fellow Englishmen – Simon Dyson, Ross McGowan, Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood were all winners as well.
