Rory McIlroy has got his World Matchplay Championship campaign back on track after beating Simon Dyson in Group C of the event this morning.

The Co Down golfer beat Dyson by two holes to recover from his defeat to Masters champion Angel Cabrera in his opening game yesterday.

Henrik Stenson also beat Cabrera by the same score this morning, leaving all four golfers in Group C tied on two points each.

McIlroy is due to play Stenson this evening, while Cabrera will take on Dyson.

The leading player from the group will then go through to the semi-finals, with the aggregate number of holes won being used to determine tied positions.
