Title success for Britain and Ireland
Underdogs Britain and Ireland beat Continental Europe for the fifth successive time at the Vivendi Trophy in Paris today – with seven games still on the course.
With Anthony Wall withdrawing from the singles with a shoulder injury and being awarded a half with Alvaro Quiros, Paul McGinley’s side led 13-6 and needed only 1 1/2 points for victory.
