Stricker rises to second in World rankings

Steve Stricker is the new world number two after his victory in the Deutsche Bank Championship in America.

The win, which also took the 42-year-old to the top of the FedEx Cup play-off standings ahead of Tiger Woods, moved him above Phil Mickelson and Paul Casey to his highest-ever position on the rankings.

Meanwhile, the fifth Japan Tour victory by 17-year-old sensation Ryo Ishikawa lifts him into the world top 50 for the first time at 47th.
