Heavy rain forced the postponement of the second round of the John Deere Classic last night.

With persistent rain falling on the course in Silvis, Illinois, organisers finally gave up on the day's play a little after 4pm local time.

By then, the rain had cleared but a waterlogged course made play impossible.

Two-time US Open winner Lee Janzen is well-placed to win his first PGA Tour event in 11 years as he holds a share of the lead with Darron Stiles at seven-under-par.
