Parnevik misses out on British Open return

Jesper Parnevik has missed out on a return to Turnberry by two shots after carding a one-under 70 in the second round of the American qualifier in Texas.

Parnevik, who let slip a golden opportunity to win the 1994 British Open at the same course, slipped up again after getting himself in a good position with a round of 64 in the morning session, but then falling off the pace to miss out on one of the eight qualifying spots up for grabs.
