McGinley in European team at Royal Trophy

Paul McGinley is the sole Irish golfer in the European team facing Asia at the Ryder Cup-style Royal Trophy in Thailand today.

The Dubliner played an integral role in the European side's previous two victories in the event.

The visiting team is being captained by Spain’s Jose Maria Olazabal in the absence of his compatriot Seve Ballesteros, who is recovering from a brain tumour.
