Trio tied for lead in Illinois
Brad Adamonis, Eric Axley and Kenny Perry were tied for the lead after the third round of the John Deere Classic as Englishman Brian Davis slipped off the pace.
Davis had been in contention after a second-round 66 saw him sitting sixth at the half-way stage but today carded a two-over 73 to slip right back.
Adamonis got off to a fast start with four birdies on his first five holes en route to a five-under-par 66.
Axley and Perry each signed for a four-under 67 to join Adamonis at 15-under 198 at the $4m event.
Second-round leader Will MacKenzie struggled to a one-under 70 and is tied with Jay Williamson at 14-under 199. Williamson surged into contention with a nine-under 62.
Scot Martin Laird is a shot back from his fellow Briton Davis after a one-under round of 70 left him six-under-par.
