Duo renew Open hostilities

Padraig Harrington and Sergio Garcia will do battle on British soil for the first time since their Open Championship duel last year in the European Open at The London Club in Kent on July 3-6.

Garcia and Harrington will be joined by defending champion Colin Montgomerie and reigning European Tour number one Justin Rose for the £2.4m event.

The Spaniard will be making his first appearance in Europe since winning the Players Championship in Florida last month, while Harrington will be looking to fine tune his game ahead of his Open defence two weeks later.
