Harrington leads Irish field at Welsh Open

Padraig Harrington is leading a strong Irish field at the Welsh Open at Celtic Manor today.

The Dubliner, appearing in the competition for the first time, is joined in the Irish contingent by Paul McGinley, Darren Clarke, Graeme McDowell, Damien McGrane and Peter Lawrie.

Harrington says he will be using the event as part of his build-up for the US Open, which begins in two weeks' time.
