Garcia's home course to stage first European Tour event

Ryder Cup star Sergio Garcia's home course of Club de Campo del Mediterraneo on Spain's east coast will host a European Tour event for the first time, it has been announced.

The Valenciana Masters will be staged there from October 23-26.

The tournament replaces the Mallorca Classic on the 2008 schedule and will be the third of four European Tour events held in Spain this season.
