Peter Lonard’s disappointment at losing the New Orleans Classic by one shot to Argentina’s Andres Romero will be eased by confirmation that he has made it into the field for next week’s US Masters.

The Australian climbs to 46th in the world rankings on the day that the top 50 earn places at Augusta National.
