Newlands’ Andrew Hogan defied 40 mph gusts to card a four-under par 67 and grab the silver medal for the leading qualifier in the West of Ireland Championship at Rosses Point.
The 19-year-old Dubliner came home in six-under par 29 with six birdies in his last seven holes to finish one stroke clear of Forrest Little’s Eoin Arthurs (71) on one-over par 143.
