Scotland’s Alastair Forsyth and Hennie Otto went into a play-off for the Madeira Islands Open today – after the South African lost a five-shot lead.

Forsyth fired a closing 67 to Otto’s 72, both players making birdie on the final hole to tie on the 15-under par mark of 273 – four clear of England’s Gary Clark.

Otto bogeyed the fourth, fifth and eighth to lose his grip on the event – and Forsyth was heading for the title until he bogeyed the short 17th.
