Darren Clarke completed his round on two over par, while Gareth Maybin and Colm Moriarty were on the same score after nine holes of their rounds.

Stephen Browne, meanwhile, was three over-par after nine holes, while Michael Hoey is in the clubhouse on four over-par.

Home players Tyrone Ferreira and Mark Murless have the early lead on six under-par.
