Derksen and Bourdy share lead
Holland’s Robert-Jan Derksen and France’s Gregory Bourdy share the lead going into today’s final round of the rain-affected Mallorca Classic.
Derksen was among the 18 players forced to complete their third rounds on Sunday morning, a knock-on effect from Thursday afternoon’s washout at Pula Golf Club.
The two-time European Tour winner bogeyed the 16th but parred the final two holes to record a 70 and nine-under-par total of 201, matching the target set by Bourdy late on Saturday evening.
France’s Jean-Francois Lucquin three-putted the 18th to drop back into a share of third place with Ireland’s Peter Lawrie on eight under par, with English duo Richard Finch and Sam Little joint fifth a stroke further back.
Pre-tournament favourite Sergio Garcia, never out of the top two in three appearances in the event, birdied the last to lie just three off the lead on six under par.
