Actor lights up golf competition
Pulp Fiction star Samuel L Jackson brought some colour to the fairway today as he joined a host of stars at a celebrity golf tournament.
The actor fought off the grey skies at Carnoustie, Scotland, with bright red trousers and a lime green, blue and yellow sweater.
Jackson is taking part in the annual Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, where celebrity amateurs team up with professionals to play for a £2.5m (€3.6m) prize.
Fellow Hollywood performers Dennis Hopper, Hugh Grant and Bill Murray also teed off today.
Hopper, best known for his role in road movie Easy Rider, was seen puffing on a cigar before taking his first swing.
Padraig Harrington, Colin Montgomerie and Paul McGinley are among the professionals taking part in the four-day event, which ends on Sunday.
The competition is being played over three world-renowned links courses including The Old Course at St Andrews.
Fellow sporting heroes Boris Becker and Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Bobby Charlton complete the amateur line-up.
