Munster defeat Connacht in interpro

Munster edged out Leinster on a count back to snatch the Golfsure Interprovincial Matches for the first time in ten years at Co Louth.

John Carroll's charges beat Connacht 8 ½ - 4 ½ as Leinster beat Ulster 7-6 on a thrilling final day.

While Munster and Leinster finished with two victories each, the title went to the southern province for the first time since 1997 on a count back of matches won - 22 matches to 21.

Rosslare's John Morris was unbeaten in his six matches for Munster - w inning three foursomes and halving his three singles.
