Harrington five shots off lead after day one in Ohio

Ireland's Padraig Harrington is five shots off the lead heading into the second day of the Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio today.

The British Open champion carded a two-over-par opening round yesterday in his first event since his historic win at Carnoustie.

Paul Casey, Rory Sabbatini and Hunter Mahan share the lead on three under par.

Meanwhile, Ireland's Gary Murphy will be teeing off from five under par at the Russian Open later today.

Murphy ended up best of the Irish yesterday evening, two shots adrift of the lead held by Sweden's Christian L Nilsson.
