Aussies reach amateur final

Australian Tim Stewart and American Drew Weaver got the better of a twin British challenge to reach the Amateur championship final at Royal Lytham tomorrow.

Stewart booked his place in the 36-hole showdown with a one-hole win over Scotsman Callum Macaulay, while Virginia Tech student Weaver eased to a two-and-one success against Welshman Jason Shufflebotham.
