Colin Montgomerie was satisfied with a second-round 70 which kept him in the hunt at the halfway point of the BMW Asian Open at the Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club.

He trails leader Raphael Jacquelin, who shot a 69 to finish on nine under, by four strokes.
