Colin Montgomerie has re-iterated his desire to play in Europe's Ryder Cup team in 2010 rather than be captain.

The Scot led a team representing Europe and the United States to defeat in the inaugural Goodwill Trophy at Mission Hills Golf Club in China as his eight-man side lost 6.5-5.5 against Retief Goosen's International side.
