Padraig Harrington avoided the food poisoning that laid Paul Casey low and put David Lynn in hospital to re-ignite his bid for the European Order of Merit title on Friday.

Harrington needs a top-three finish in the season-ending Volvo Masters at Valderrama to have a chance of pipping Casey and at the halfway point they are in ninth and 35th positions respectively.
