US Ryder Cup team arrives after flight delay
The US team for this week's Ryder Cup has arrived in Ireland today to prepare for the K Club showdown.
Tom Lehmann's 12-strong team touched down in Dublin this morning after their flight from Washington was delayed for three hours.
The Americans will face a European side that includes the new World Matchplay champion Paul Casey.
Casey set a new record for the largest winning margin at the Wentworth event yesterday when he beat American Shaun Micheel by 10 shots to claim the £1m (€1.48m) prize.
Elsewhere, Ireland's Padraig Harrington finished joined fourth at the Madrid Masters, which was won by Ian Poulter, while David Mortimer claimed the Irish PGA Championship at Druid's Heath.
