Monty to defend Pro-Am crown

Colin Montgomerie will defend his Alfred Dunhill Links Championship title at St Andrews next month.

Among the early entries for the tournament include a host of Montgomerie’s Ryder Cup team-mates, such as wild cards Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood.

Also playing will be Denmark’s Thomas Bjorn, who narrowly missed out on selection for the Ryder Cup as one of the captain’s picks.

The teams comprise one professional and one amateur including personalities from the worlds of sport, TV and films, and business.
