Ireland’s Gary Murphy admitted he was “sweating” after securing a par on the last to finish one better than Michelle Wie on 14 over at the Omega European Masters today.

The Irish are out of contention, after Damien McGrane, Stephen Browne and Gary Murphy all missed the cut. Graeme McDowell is the best-placed Irishman on even par after shooting a 71, with Peter Lawrie, Michael Hoey and David Higgins all just making the cut, one shot further back.
