Bjorn apologises to Woosnam

A day after his damning criticism of Ian Woosnam’s Ryder Cup captaincy Thomas Bjorn has now issued an apology.

“Having had a day to reflect on my comments I would like to apologise for the hurtful and personal nature of my remarks to European captain Ian Woosnam,” said the Dane, who gave vent to his anger after missing out on selection for the K Club match in two weeks’ time.
