Els effort wins shot of the month

Ernie Els’ approach to the 14th hole during the final round of the British Open at Hoylake has been voted RBS Shot of the Month for July.

The 36-year-old South African, trying to close the gap on eventual winner Tiger Woods, hit a five-iron to four feet for a birdie three at the hardest hole of the week.
