Belief is back for front-runner Monty
Colin Montgomerie went into the second round of the US Open at Winged Foot today with a one-shot lead – and armed with an inner belief that an elusive first major title is still a possibility.
Montgomerie was rated a 120-1 outsider for the title this week, and it was hard to argue with those odds given his last top-10 finish in the championship came when he finished second in 1997.
