Big-hitting Andrew Pitcher led the qualifiers in the Golfsure Irish Amateur Close Championship at the European Club.

The 19-year-old from The Island shot a second successive 75 to finish on eight over par 150 and pip defending champion Rory McIlroy on a countback.
