France’s Adrien Mork has become the first player to score 59 on the European Challenge Tour – and it even included a double bogey.

The feat has yet to be achieved on the main circuit, but the 26-year-old broke the magic 60 barrier at the Tikida Hotels Agadir Morrocan Classic.

Following an opening 63 on the par-71 Golf du Soleil lay-out Mork had six birdies to turn in 29, double-bogeyed the second and then eagled the next and birdied the final six holes.

The last came with a pitch to three feet. “Now those are the kind of putts you want for a 59,” he said. “There was no chance that I was missing that one.

“It feels like a dream – I feel great, but also quite numb.”
