Scotland’s Janice Moodie was tied for 12th after the rain-delayed first round was completed today at the inaugural Ginn Open at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Florida.

American Cristie Kerr led on 65, two shots ahead of both her Solheim Cup team-mate Laura Diaz and Mexico’s Lorena Ochoa, who is seeking a second win of the season.

World number one Annika Sorenstam had to settle for a 72.

Moodie, who is five months pregnant, was the leading British player.

She had three birdies and was lucky to play her first round on Thursday morning before the wind really started to howl.

The next best Britons, on 73, were Johanna Head and Joanne Morley, who completed her round this morning, with Wales’ Becky Morgan and Laura Davies on 74.
