More money in Vienna tournament

Increased interest from sponsors in June’s BA-CA Golf Open in Vienna has seen prize money go up by €292,000 to €1.29m.

The tournament at the Fontana Golf Club is a new addition to the European Tour - the first such event in Austria for 10 years – and will be part of the schedule for three seasons.

Ireland's Paul McGinley was the last man to lift the Austrian Open title in 1996, and this year European number one Colin Montgomerie and Thomas Bjorn are already confirmed competitors.
