Sweden still strong despite Wales surge

Wales’ Becky Morgan and Becky Brewerton made a surge through the field with a two-under-par 70 but Sweden’s Annika Sorenstam and Liselotte Neumann tightened their grip on the Women’s World Cup with a 69 in the second day foursomes at Sun City in South Africa.

Wales’ Becky Morgan and Becky Brewerton made a surge through the field with a two-under-par 70 but Sweden’s Annika Sorenstam and Liselotte Neumann tightened their grip on the Women’s World Cup with a 69 in the second day foursomes at Sun City in South Africa.

The Swedish favourites go into the final day singles on 10 under, three shots ahead of South Korea’s Bo Bae Song and Meena Lee, who posted a 72.
