Woods behind despite birdie blitz
Tiger Woods grabbed a spectacular 10 birdies but still found himself only in joint fourth place in the opening round of the HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai today.
Three bogeys, including one at his final hole, meant Woods returned a seven-under-par 65 to trail Scot Paul Lawrie, England’s Nick Dougherty and Australian Peter O’Malley by one.
