McDowell fury at 'stupidest hole in golf'

Graeme McDowell has branded the newly-lengthened fourth at St Andrews as “the stupidest hole in golf” after a double-bogey six today put a dent in his Open chances.

Three under overnight, he played regulation golf up to the fourth – which now has a new tee 16 yards further back.
