Hamilton upset by long odds and poor start

Todd Hamilton had a dig at British bookmakers after beginning the defence of his British Open title with only a 74.

Asked about the contrast between this opening day and setting off a year ago as pretty much an unknown to British fans, the 39-year-old American said: “I didn’t take it any differently and obviously the bookmakers didn’t either. I was 200/1!”
