Clarke in flying form with birdies and eagles
Darren Clarke made a spectacular start to his final round in the Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond today and joined South African Tim Clark and Dutchman Maarten Lafeber in the lead.
After birdies at the first and third the Ulsterman holed his 130-yard wedge for an eagle two on the 385-yard fourth.
Clarke jumped to 16 under par, but did not lead on his own as both Clark and Lafeber had birdied the first.
That put Scot Alastair Forsyth and Argentina’s Angel Cabrera one behind again after they had also opened with threes.
