Rose and Langer miss out
Justin Rose and Bernhard Langer both failed to make it through the British Open championship qualifier in America.
The only Europeans to survive were Langerās fellow German Alex Cejka and Swedes Daniel Chopra and Wilhelm Schauman.
Rose, fourth in the Open as a 17-year-old amateur in 1998, missed out on a play-off by one shot after a second round 67, while Langer was two strokes further back.
American Tom Pernice and Australian Geoff Ogilvy led the 14 qualifiers.
