Monty confirmed for European Open

Colin Montgomerie has confirmed he will take part in the Smurfit European Open, which tees off at the K Club on June 30.

BMW Championship winner Angel Cabrera and Ian Poulter have also confirmed their participation in the event.

They join newly-crowned US Open champion Michael Campbell, who will make his first appearance in Europe since winning the second major of the year. Cambpell is a previous winner of the European Open title.
