Argentina’s Angel Cabrera, twice a runner-up in the past four years, won the BMW Championship at Wentworth today after a duel with Ryder Cup Irishman Paul McGinley.

The pair were level with three to play, but McGinley, having gone to the turn fell two behind when he was in two bunkers at the 383-yard 16th and bogeyed and then Cabrera, in the group behind, made an 18-footer for birdie.
