Trio earn Wentworth call-ups

Sweden's Peter Gustafson, European Tour rookie Richard Finch and fellow Englishman Simon Wakefield have earned late call-ups to the BMW Championship at Wentworth this week.

They are the leading non-exempt players who, based on their performances on the Volvo Order of Merit this season, have been invited to join the star-studded field.

Gustafsson and Wakefield, first and second at the qualifying school last November, are 29th and 45th on the money list, while Finch, 10th at the school and joint-second in the Italian Open three weeks ago, stands 49th.

American Ben Curtis, winner of the Open two years ago, and former Ryder Cup player David Gilford, who lost his tour card last season, have also received invitations to the event.
