McGinley and Monty present Tsunami cheque

Paul McGinley and Colin Montgomerie, both currently competing in the Indonesia Open in Jakarta, have presented a cheque for £53,500 (€77,000) to the Tsunami Aid Appeal.

The money was raised through the European Tour International Relief Golf Fund, which players have contributed to since the disaster struck on St Stephen's Day.

“It is imperative we realise and not forget what happened in December last year,” said Montgomerie.

“We are appreciative of the superb efforts of all to stage this event and as players we will do all we can to continue to support the Tsunami Aid Appeal.”
