British duo earn US tour cards
English duo Brian Davis and Greg Owen and Welsh Ryder Cup star Phillip Price have all earned cards to play on the lucrative US PGA Tour next season.
Davis took top spot in the qualifying tournament at PGA West in California, where the leading 30 and ties made it onto the American tour.
Londoner Davis, the son-in-law of former England goalkeeper Ray Clemence, took a six-stroke lead into the sixth and final round.
And he survived a closing two-over-par 74 to finish on 17 under and hold on for a one-shot victory over Bob Rashell.
Former British Masters champion Greg Owen closed with a 73 and the Mansfield golfer breezed through in joint-fourth on 12 under, just seven months after undergoing back surgery.
Price had the most to do on the final day but a 71 saw him move up to nine under and a tie for 13th place.
