Spain lead after third round
Miguel Angel Jimenez and an inspired Sergio Garcia swept hosts and favourites Spain into a one-stroke lead over England at golf’s World Cup today.
Garcia had two eagles and five birdies in the pair’s 11 under par 61 as they came from six behind at halfway.
Luke Donald and Paul Casey, five clear of the field at halfway, managed only a 68 to be 23 under with a round to go.
Ireland’s Padraig Harrington and Paul McGinley, winners in 1997, are joint third with America, holders South Africa and Sweden.
