Tiger takes three-shot lead

Tiger Woods was three shots clear after the first round of the Japan Golf Tour’s Dunlop Phoenix Tournament.

Woods was five under par after the first day, while Tokyo’s Kaname Bios was second at two-under but would have been ahead had he not double-bogeyed the fifth, 14th and 15th.

Hideto Tanihara, Jong-Duck Kim and Australia’s Craig Parry shared third place at one-under.
