Drummond leads Els at rain-soaked Wentworth
Scott Drummond, the 100-1 outsider, made a superb start against five-time winner Ernie Els after heavy rain held up the HSBC World Match Play championship for two and a half hours at Wentworth today.
Drummond, the Scot who was 435th in the world when he won the Volvo PGA title on the course in May, stood two-up after seven holes as he tried to end defending champion Els’ hopes of a record-breaking sixth crown.
