Lyle interested in Ryder Cup captaincy

Former British Open champion Sandy Lyle has thrown his hat into the ring for the captaincy of the next European Ryder Cup team.

Bernhard Langer is widely expected to step down after his successful tournament in charge where Europe defeated the USA by a record 18 1/2 to 9 1/2 at Oakland Hills.
