Monty: Europe will be favourites at K Club

Colin Montgomerie believes Europe, having won four of the last five matches, will start favourites to win the Ryder Cup at the K Club in Co Kildare in 2006.

“That’s how strong our tour is and that’s a huge thing to be able to say,” he declared. “We have always bowed to the US tour and I feel now it is about time we patted ourselves on the back and actually said we are an equal, if not something a little bit beyond.
