Europe won over American crowd - Langer

Bernhard Langer has revealed how Europe’s victorious Ryder Cup team went on a charm offensive which helped tame the American fans at Oakland Hills last week.

Captain of the European team Langer explained that Colin Montgomerie, Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood and the rest of the 12-man team took time out to win over the crowd as well as the cup, and the plan worked so well that the American players ended up being jeered by some of their own supporters.
